Heartbroken

sadly the journey ended.  Misty didn’t make it thru the surgery. Her heart stopped coming out of anesthesia. She is no longer in pain. She was loved very much.

  1. So sorry to hear about your sweet girl. Please know that you still made the right decision, as hard as this moment is. Heavy hearted for you tonight. Much love.

  2. Shocked and stunned. So very, very sorry to hear this.

We are all crying with you tonight. There are no words that can help. I have no words right now, I’m jist so stunned and so very, very sorry.

You did EVERYTHING possible…EVERYTHING!!! Unfortunately, just like with humans, surgery has u forseen risks. And even though we all know that, we proceed because we HAVE to try. To not try would be hard to justify.

I’m just sitting here shaking my head and feeling completely useless because I just have no words.

I’m going to come back though. Misty jumped I to our hearts with your first post and her sweet photo. She, and you, are family.

    My heart breaks for you.

    With love,
Sally and My Eternal Light Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle

  3. Oh my … I am so sorry … this always shocks us at our very core and my heart breaks for you. Like Sally said… Misty always knew you loved her and were with her …. and now she is with you for forever.

When you feel up to it (if you do) please come back and share more about Misty’s amazing life… we want to know her better!

    Hugs and love and peace,
alison with spirit shelby in her heart

  4. How sad to hear about Misty. At least you tried, and as Sally said, the outcome of any surgery is sort of a lottery, even for young dogs. Misty is now pain-free and will live forever in your heart.
My condolences to you and your family for your loss.

  5. Hi, I am so sorry to hear about your sweet Misty. I lost my mastiff Oscar to bone cancer in March of 2014. May you find peace and comfort in your memories and some measure of joy knowing you will see her again. (I firmly believe we will see our pets again; about a week prior to her death, my mom kept trying to pet one of the Great Danes we had many years ago). Your sweet girl is happy and well and running with the angels now. Hugs and prayers to you….

  6. This is so sad. I’m so sorry you lost your Misty. You were doing what was right so don’t blame yourself or question your decision to amputate. She left knowing that you loved her enough to do everything possible to relieve her pain.

  7. Ohhhhhhh nooooooo. We are just heartbroken and feel terrible, please, if there is anything we can do, we are here for you. You are not alone, if you want to talk, share her story, whatever, know that we stand by you now and always. We are very, very sorry.

  8. Thank You so much everyone. I have few words right now. I just wanted to say this is a wonderful site and group and I’m sorry Misty couldn’t be part of one of the success stories. I wish you guys many happy days with your fur babies and we all know for the ones that have gone ahead, they will be there with a big sloppy kiss for us when it’s our time. ❤️
